1/10

It was a casual moment. An anthurium in the window of a flower shop, upright, luminous, perfectly at peace amidst the noise of the street.

"Anthurium" captures exactly this moment. Three blossoms in a simple glass vessel, in rich pink and deep purple, set against an abstract background of emerald green, earthy tones, and dark swirls. The background moves. The blossoms stand still. This tension is the painting.

The work was created in two layers and two media: an expressive acrylic underpainting defines the energy and structure of the background, while oil paints above it bring out the flowers with depth, luminosity, and precision. This combination is not a technique for the sake of technique. It makes visible what the painting tells: something wild from which something delicate grows.

Small in format. Strong in presence.

"Anthurium" is available as an original painting, a unique piece, signed, with a certificate of authenticity. For those who would like the motif in a different context, it is also available as a high-quality print in an elegant gold slimline frame and as a print on canvas.

Frequently Asked Questions

Why combine acrylic and oil?

The acrylic underpainting dries quickly and gives the work its expressive foundational structure. Oil paint applied on top dries more slowly, which allows for finer transitions, deeper luminosity, and a different texture. Combining both media is technically demanding and creates a depth of image that could not be achieved with one medium alone.

Is the painting also available as a print?

Yes, even in two versions. There is a high-quality print in a gold slimline frame, ready to hang immediately: Anthurium | Gold Slimline Print. Additionally, the motif is available as a print on canvas in three sizes: Anthurium | Canvas. The original, however, exists only once and is signed.

What is the difference between the original and the print?

The original is a unique painting in acrylic and oil on canvas that is not available in any further editions. The prints are high-resolution reproductions of the motif, professionally printed. All versions share the same motif, but not the same story.
